In order to make the management of work easier, RTP has integrated GMedia and SAP ERP applications. Thus, the public television ensured the seamless and real-time integration of the operational and business support systems.

Until some while ago, RTP had to manually manage the document workflow and the management processes. These facts were due to outdated information systems, which made it difficult and expensive to adapt to more modern and demanding management environments.

In order to modernize the operational management and streamline their processes, RTP decided to create a project for installing SAP ERP and SAP Process Integration, and integrate them with GMedia. GMedia is an integrated management solution for radio and television developed by GSoft. SAP installation project was implemented by Roff, in partnership with GSoft, to integrate with GMedia. 

The project was successful and "allows RTP to have a larger visibility and better budget control, by having real-time knowledge of what are our responsibilities with others and vice versa", says Fernando Albuquerque, RTP Information Systems's Director.

To what concerns integration Fernando Albuquerque says: "the transformation and the impact were brutal, not only in terms of simplification and process control, but also in the communication between people of different areas of the company".

The platform spans more than 30 critical processes for RTP and supports over 300 employees. For each month the average of transactions between the processes undertaken in GMedia and SAP PI is close to 130 000.
